The Best of 2010 – Blended Whiskies

The end of the year is almost upon us, and this is the time when the Whisky Boys list their favourite tastings of 2010.

For the blends we have chosen only three, and we have placed them in no particular order. We would like our readers to buy and taste all three and not just the top one or two in each category.

Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 40% Alc/vol. 70cl. (Containing Whisky from Kininvie, Balvenie and Glenfiddich).

Black Bottle Fine Old Blended Scotch Whisky 40% Alc/vol. 70cl. (A fabulous blend of Islay Malts with some choice single grain Whiskies).

The Bailie Nicol Jarvie – Blended Old Scotch Whisky 40% Alc/vol. 70cl. (This blend boasts that it has one of the highest malt content of any blended Scotch Whisky).

How is that for a grand selection of blended Whisky?  Whether you wish to buy a bottle for yourself, give one as a gift or indeed order a dram at your favourite bar, then you cannot go wrong with any or all of these.

The Whisky Boys have bought and tasted all of these, and to say the least we enjoyed every one of them and would highly recommend them to all our readers.

These are available in most supermarkets and certainly online at Master of Malt.

Look out for the next listing, which will be our The Best of 2010- Non-Scotch Whiskies.
