Oxford Rye Whisky 003 from Oxford Artisan Distillery is a spicy, bready rye whisky that has been rested in American oak casks and matured in Moscatel de Setubal wine casks. Aromas of banana smoothie, marzipan, apple, pear, liquorice and hints of smoke fill the nose. The palate offers notes of gummy bears, green bananas, honey, apricot, white chocolate, nutmeg and tea tree, with hints of butterscotch lingering in the finish.
A limited-edition rye whisky from The Oxford Artisan Distillery, The Graduate is a bold, aromatic whisky that has been matured in American oak casks from multiple cooperages. The result is aromas of aniseed, black pepper, mint, flowers, overripe banana, Bramley apple, ginger cake and almonds that fill the nose, complemented by notes of blackcurrants, salt, banana, custard, dark chocolate, liquorice, black pepper and mint throughout the palate.
A Nordic whisky with Iberian roots, inspired by the iconic Manhattan cocktail, Stauning El Clasico is a bittersweet rye whisky that has been finished in ex-vermouth casks. The result is an aromatic whisky with bittersweet herbal notes and a warm spice throughout the palate.
A limited-edition single pot still Irish whiskey from Redbreast's Iberian series, Redbreast PX has been initially matured in bourbon casks and oloroso sherry casks, before being finished in Pedro Ximenez hogsheads from the south of Spain. Aromas of toasted nuts, warm baking spices and sweet dried fruits fill the nose, complemented by notes of vanilla, toasted oak, dates, raisins, plums, cherries and orange zest throughout the palate. Try pairing this whiskey with Jamon Iberico, Dark chocolate or Tortas de Aceita.
The fourth release in The Lakes Distillery's Whiskymaker's Reserve series has been matured in a combination of oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, as well as ex-red wine casks, creating a well-balanced whisky with a complex character. The palate offers notes of Manuka honey, sun-dried dates, roasted cashew nuts, dried fruit, sweet spices and cream that linger in the finish.
A 2008 Craigellachie single malt from indie bottler Douglas Laing, matured in a single ex-sherry hogshead for over a decade, before being bottled in March 2020 as part of its Old Particular series. Aromas of buttery pastries, strawberry jam and flaky sea salt fill the nose, complemented by notes of brown bread, summer berries, caramel, nectarines, chocolate and cinnamon throughout the palate.
A 1998 Glen Moray single malt from the distillery's Warehouse 1 Collection that has been finished in an Italian Barolo wine cask. The palate is sweet and fruity, with notes of caramel-filled chocolate, toffee, cream-covered plums, figs and dark berries that linger in the finish.
The 2021-edition of The Dalmore 30 Year Old single malt has been matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks and finished in tawny port pipes which previously held Graham's 30 Year Old Tawny Port. Aromas of candied orange peel, treacle toffee, Morello cherries and warm brioche fill the nose, complemented by notes of Black Forest gateau, Tarte Tatin, Victoria plums, Madagascan vanilla and shaved almonds throughout the palate.
