SMWS Outturn November 2020 is now live.
Classic Creature Comforts – The Scotch Malt Whisky Society release (outturn) several single cask bottlings of Scotch, Whisk(e)y, Rum and Gin, to name a few, usually on the first Friday of every month. This month however sees an early release for November 2020 Outturn as another mid-month outturn is scheduled for November also. Below is a full list of what the SMWS Classic Creature Comforts outturn released on the 28th October 2020 has to offer.
The SMWS November 2020 outturn has 17 Scotch whiskies, 1 grain whisky and 1 gin to choose from. These whiskies includes a 7 year old Glenfarclas and an 8 year old Glen Scotia and much, much more… These unique monthly bottlings are only available to buy by members of the Society. (Don’t worry you can join the SMWS here) but be quick several of the bottlings sell out as quickly as the day they are released.

All the aromas one would expect were present; juniper, coriander, angelica, liquorice and citrus but then also the surprising scents of pine sap, pink peppercorns, a bunch of lilies and unrolling a camouflage netting. A fresh nose of apples, straw and polished wood sweetened with time to become white chocolate, custard powder and desiccated coconut. Our noses picked up sweet vanilla and toffee, but the main impressions included steam ships, tarry driftwood bonfire on a shingle beach, smoked fish, Nori, saltwater and tidal rock-pools.
