That Boutique-y Whisky Company
The 11th batch of Clynelish single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company was matured for 25 years, before being bottled as part of its 10th Birthday series. Aromas of beeswax, green apples, butterscotch, salty coastal air and pineapple fill the nose, complemented by notes of tangerines, pineapples, tart apples, walnut oil and brine throughout the palate.

A small-batch Bottled In Bond Straight Bourbon whiskey from Wilderness Trail, Kentucky, that is made with a mash bill of 64% corn, 24% wheat and 12% malted barley, and matured in a mix of heavily-charred and toasted barrels. Aromas of buttered popcorn, cinnamon French toast, salted butter and maple syrup fill the nose, complemented by notes of toffee, caramel, sea salt, vanilla, cherry jam, oak and butter throughout the palate.
A small-batch rye whiskey from Wilderness Trail distillery that is made with a mash bill of 56% rye, 33% corn and 11% malted barley, matured in heavily-charred barrels and bottled in bond. The result is a nose full of lemon peel, satsuma, apple, peppery rye spice, vanilla caramel and floral honey aromas, complemented on the palate by notes of fragrant citrus, toasted rye bread, melted butter, charred oak, butterscotch, liquorice and crushed peppercorns that linger in the finish.
A 2013 Caol Ila single malt from independent bottler Douglas Laing that was matured in a refill barrel for eight years, before being bottled in May 2022 as part of its Provenance series. Aromas of rich peat smoke, crispy bacon, dried earth and driftwood fill the nose, complemented by notes of treacle, heavily-charred oak, cured meats, iodine, acrid peat smoke and hints of barley throughout the palate.
A special-edition rye whiskey from Sagamore Spirit's Reserve Series, this is the second iteration of its rum cask finished whiskey. Initially matured in American oak barrels, it was then finished in a combination of South American barrels and ex-Jamaican rum barrels for 10 months, introducing layers of tropical fruit and caramelised sugar to Sagamore's spicy rye character. The palate offers notes of ripe banana, passion fruit, demerara sugar, spiced pineapple, vanilla, flores fritas, peanut brittle, cinnamon bark, ginger and spicy black pepper that linger in the finish.
A single-barrel bourbon from Peerless Distilling Co. that spent its life a a just one barrel, selected by master distiller Caleb Kilburn. Aromas of citrus, cedar planks, honeysuckle and peppery oak spice fill the nose, complemented by notes of caramel, toasted oak, cinnamon, cocoa powder, orange peel and summer flowers throughout the palate.
Never Say Die is made in Kentucky with a high-rye mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley, before being transported across the Atlantic Ocean for a second maturation in England. Lively and spicy, the palate offers notes of orange, lemon, white pepper, vanilla, leather and caramel that linger in the finish.
80/20 is a new iteration of Bushmills popular Black Bush blended Irish whiskey, released in 2022, that is made with a combination of 80% Bushmills single malt matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and 20% Irish grain whiskey. Aromas of rich fruitcake, toasted walnuts, sherry-soaked raisins, baking spices and oaky spice fill the nose, complemented by notes of allspice, ripe peaches, walnuts, almonds, dried fruit, black pepper and vanilla throughout the palate.
A straight malt whiskey from MB Roland that is made with a combination of malted barley, white corn and rye to create a fuller and spicier character. Aromas of milk chocolate, toasted nuts and creamy grains fill the nose, complemented by notes of dark chocolate, green spice, walnuts, almonds, cut grass and cocoa powder throughout the palate.

The second batch of Nantou Taiwanese single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company was distilled in 2016 and matured in a single cask for five years, before being bottled as part of its 10th Birthday Series. Aromas of vanilla, apricot, ripe apple, grist, salty sea-spray and sooty peat smoke fill the nose, complemented by notes of oily malt, peppery spice, earthy ashes, seaweed and lemon zest throughout the palate.

The third batch of Elsburn German single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company is a seven-year-old whisky that was matured in an ex-Rivesaltes dessert wine cask and bottled as part of its 10th Birthday Series. Aromas of honey, roasted almonds, nougat, raisins, prunes and dried apricots fill the nose, complemented by notes of walnut oil, almond butter, oak spice, leather and dried fruit throughout the palate.
The third release of Armorik French single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company is an eight-year-old ex-Chouchen casks - a type of mead from Brittany - that was bottled as part of its 10th Birthday Series. Aromas of caramelised apples, nutmeg, black pepper, charred oak and sweet honey fill the nose, complemented by notes of baked apple, charred oak, sticky honey, oiled leather and spicy ginger throughout the palate.

An impressive Millstone Dutch single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, distilled in 1996 and matured in an oloroso sherry hogshead for 25 years, before being bottled as part of its 10th Birthday Series. Aromas of blackcurrants, black cherry, leather, figs, stewed fruit and sherry-soaked raisins fill the nose and are echoed throughout the palate, alongside notes of bitter dark chocolate, freshly-ground coffee and dark cherry liqueur that linger in the finish.

A limited-edition single pot still Irish whiskey from Method & Madness that was initially matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, before being finished in Japanese cedarwood casks. Aromas of eucalyptus, garden herbs and green tea fill the nose, complemented by notes of caraway seeds, jasmine tea, cloves, rich baking spice, sweet, aromatic wood and delicate peaches throughout the palate.
A limited-edition single pot still from Method and Madness that was initially matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, and finished in virgin Japanese chestnut casks – a first for Irish whiskey. Aromas of peppermint leaves, caramelised almonds and ground pepper fill the nose, complemented by notes of liquorice, orange zest, ripe fruit, garden herbs, roasted coffee beans, cooling menthol and lingering spices throughout the palate.
A limited-edition single pot still Irish whiskey from Method and Madness that combines Japan's rarest type of oak with spirit from one of Ireland's most inventive distillers. Initially matured in ex-bourbon barrels for three decades, it was then finished in Japanese mizunara oak for three years, before being bottled at 33-years-old. Aromas of freshly-baked coffee cake, worn leather and rich toasted nuts fill the nose, complemented by notes of nutmeg, vanilla, pot still spice, oak spice and soft fruit throughout the palate.
A rich, complex bourbon barrel matured whisky from Laphroaig, this is the 15th edition of the Islay distillery's ever-popular Cask Strength 10 Year Old single malt. Bottled in December 2021, aromas of oat biscuits, green oak, candle wax, vanilla cream, wood smoke, tobacco, nutmeg and old leather fill the nose, complemented by notes of charred wood, burnt marshmallows, sea salt, toffee, caramel waffles, white peppery, roasted coffee, cinnamon and vanilla fill throughout the palate.

A 2008 Glentauchers single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail that was bottled in 2022 as part of its Distillery Labels series. Aromas of milk chocolate, cinnamon, orange peel and Medjool dates fill the nose, complemented by notes of stewed apples, nougat, almonds, treacle toffee and banana throughout the palate.

A 2010 Tomatin single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail that was bottled in 2022 as part of its Discovery series. Aromas of lemon zest, tropical fruit and honeydew melon fill the nose, complemented by notes of dried pineapple, green apple, brown sugar, charred oak and malted biscuits throughout the palate.
The final release in Tomatin's award-winning Warehouse 6 series was filled into a pair of hogsheads on 7th December 1976 and lay undisturbed in Warehouse 6 until it was bottled in 4th April 2022 into bespoke hand-blown Glencairn Crystal decanters. Aromas of syrupy strawberries, tropical fruits, roasted coconut and ginger spice fill the nose, complemented by notes of marzipan, golden syrup, dark chocolate, coffee and exotic spices throughout the palate.
A rich and decadent limited-edition single malt from Glenfiddich, Cumulative Time is a 40-year-old whisky made by combining specially-selected butts and hogsheads with the distillery's marrying tun, that contains some of the previous batches of impressively-aged whisky. Aromas of dark chocolate, dried fruits, black cherries, roasted coffee, wood smoke and polished leather fill the nose, complemented by notes of fruitcake, dates, raisins, stewed apples, bitter chocolate, dried oak and aromatic peat throughout the palate.
A 1971 Tomatin single malt that was bottled after 50 years of maturation in celebration of the distillery's 125th anniversary. Distilled on 7th August 1971 and filled into a first-fill oloroso sherry hogshead, the whisky was eventually bottled on 8th June 2022 and an impressive 50-years-old. Aromas of dried mango, toasted nuts, dark chocolate and honey fill the nose, complemented by notes of juicy orange, apricot, dried fruit and baking spices throughout the palate.

A 14-year-old Glenallachie single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail, bottled as part of its Discovery Series. Aromas of green apple, dried banana and milk chocolate fill the nose, complemented by notes of creamy custard, lemon posset, oak spice and blossom honey throughout the palate.
A special-edition Glenfarclas single malt that spent 53 years in a single first-fill oloroso sherry cask, before being bottled in just 168 bespoke decanters. Rich aromas of treacle toffee, Christmas cake and oloroso sherry fill the nose, complemented by notes of dried fruit, sweet malt, dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco, treacle and a whisper of smoke throughout the palate.
A 2016-vintage Swiss single malt from Langatun that is named in honour of the distillery's founder Jakob Baumberger and was matured in an ex-Pinot Noir cask. Aromas of sultanas, sweet oak and freshly-baked pastries fill the nose, complemented by notes of gingerbread, roasted walnuts, bitter almonds and oaky vanilla throughout the palate.
A modern single pot still Irish whiskey from Powers that is made with a mix of malted and unmalted barley, and triple distilled in traditional copper pot stills. Aromas of pot still spice, crisp barley, green banana, grapefruit and marzipan fill the nose, complemented by notes of green apple, lively citrus, cedarwood, peppery spice and sweet malt throughout the palate.
Aged for 12 years - the extra 6 years maturing in wood produces a darker spirit with more of the traditional characteristics of aged whiskies and a richer, more aromatic flavour.
A truly impressive set of independently-bottled single malts from Macallan that includes all 12 bottles of the Intrepid Collection, comprised of a replica-edition of The Intrepid, the world's largest bottle of whisky at 311 litres, together with 11 Explorer Edition bottlings of The Intrepid, each label showcasing one of the explorers honoured by the project. A vatting of hogsheads #6986 and #6992, the nose holds aromas of baked apples, pears in syrup, flaked almond, short-crust pastry and vanilla fudge, complemented by notes of white pepper, caramel, French apple tart, oak spice and sweet fruit throughout the palate.

The Midleton Silent Distillery series honours the last casks that were filled by the stills of the Old Midleton Distiller, before it fell silent forever. The third chapter in this series is a 47-year-old Irish single malt whiskey, housed in a hand-crafter Waterford crystal decanter and presented in a bespoke elm burr cabinet from master craftsman John Galvin. Aromas of forest fruits, sticky cherries, toffee, almond, leather-bound books and pipe tobacco fill the nose, complemented by notes of dark-roast coffee, crushed hazelnut, dried herbs, peppery spice and sweet dried fruit throughout the palate.

A fruity, nutty Irish single malt whiskey from Two Stacks that is made with a blend of 10% peated malt and 90% unpeated malt, and matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks. The palate offers notes of deep oak spice, wild brambles, sweet blackcurrants, hazelnuts and toasted walnuts that linger in the finish.
A ready-to-go can of fruity, nutty Irish single malt whiskey from Two Stacks. It is made with a blend of 10% peated malt and 90% unpeated malt, and matured in both ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks. The palate offers notes of deep oak spice, wild brambles, sweet blackcurrants, hazelnuts and toasted walnuts that linger in the finish.
A delicate yet spicy Australian single malt from Manly Spirits that was matured in ex-Barossa Shiraz casks and bottled in 2022 as part of the first wave of whiskies in its Element Series. Aromas of salted caramel and cinnamon-spiced apple crumble fill the nose, complemented by notes of cracked black pepper, salted caramel, blackberry, sweet malt, cinnamon and nutmeg throughout the palate.
A mellow and sweet Australian single malt from the first wave of whiskies in Manly Spirits' Element Series that was matured in ex-Kentucky bourbon casks. Aromas of vanilla, green apples, pears and buttered caramel fill the nose, complemented by notes of warm honey, baked pears, caramelised apple, leather, oak and baking spices throughout the palate.
The 2011-vintage Bruichladdich Organic Barley is made with barley from Mid Coul farm in Inverness, Scotland, that is grown without pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Aromas of crème brulee, cantaloupe melon, mint leaves and lemon rind fill the nose, complemented by notes of toasted oak, creamy barley, vanilla fudge, ripe pear, golden syrup and salty sea air throughout the palate.
The 2012 Bere Barley single malt from Bruichladdich is made using this ancient grain variety that the distillery has been working with the University of the Highlands and Islands since 2005 to reintroduce to the whisky industry. Matured for a decade in first-fill ex-bourbon casks it offers aromas of lime zest, creamy vanilla, green apples and honeysuckle that fill the nose, complemented by notes of sweet cereals, apple crumble, freshly-baked scones, peaches and heather honey on the palate, with sticky gingerbread, milk chocolate and marzipan lingering in the finish.
The third whisky to come out of Shizuoka distillery, Contact S is made with a combination of whisky from its ex-Karuizawa pot still and its wood-fired pot still, and matured for three years in first-fill bourbon and quarter casks. Aromas of apple juice, ripe mangoes, cream, caramel and buttered toast fill the nose, complemented by notes of rich tea biscuits, stewed apples, croissants, caramel, sea salt, dark chocolate and black tea throughout the palate.
The second single malt in Lochlea's annual series of seasonal releases, Harvest Edition First Crop draws inspiration from the end of summer, when the barley crops are ready for harvest and to start their journey to become whisky. Matured in a combination of ex-Port, ex-oloroso sherry and ex-bourbon casks, First Crop offers aromas of stewed apples, pear drops and oat biscuits that fill the nose, complimented by notes of ripe strawberries, violets, toasted marshmallows, freshly-cut grass and sweet cereals throughout the palate.

The second-release of Glenmorangie The Cadboll is a 15-year-old single malt that was made using barley grown on Glenmorangie's Cadboll Estate and matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels. Aromas of vanilla, toasted oak, fresh cream and boiled sweets fill the nose, complemented by notes of orange blossom, ginger, cinnamon, poached pear and lemon zest throughout the palate.
A special single malt for a special anniversary, this 45-year-old Littlemill celebrates the distillery's 250th anniversary. Distilled in October 1976, this triple-distilled whisky was re-casked in 1996 into a pair of refill American oak hogsheads until it was given a final six-month finish in first-fill oloroso sherry hogsheads before it was bottled. Aromas of elderflower, chamomile, grapefruit, lemon zest, toffee, marzipan and vanilla fill the nose, complemented by notes of crème caramel, tart green apple, pear, lime, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and oak throughout the palate.
