It was early on Friday the 22nd of October 2010 when Nicola called in at Jim,s with a view of having Jacqueline as our nominated driver and taking a drive to the Canal Inn which sits on the banks of the Forth and Clyde canal, between locks numbers 15 and 16.
Well it is official – the clocks changed at the weekend and we are heading into the start of Winter. The nights are getting darker, the jumpers are being pulled on and the chimneys are starting to smoke. The chill is on its way. All the more reason why spirits must be raised on all levels.
It was suggested that we should re-visit some of our old friends, and this Ardmore Highland Single Malt falls into that category, so how has our palates changed over the past couple of years, lets find out.
Bourbon number five in our special tasting month. This bottling is part of the W. L. Weller Antique Collection.
This makes the fourth Bourbon tasting of the month. This Bourbon comes from the Willett Distillery which sits in the hills of Kentucky.
We are about to open the third bottle in this months Bourbon tasting event. We are pleased that we able to obtain some drams that a little bit different from the ones you can buy at your local supermarket.
