Label 5 Single Grain Scotch Whisky – Bourbon Barrel, 40% Alc/vol 70cl
Colour…Aged and polished leather.
Nose…The nose surrounded us with light, fruity, and frothy aromas, loads of vanilla, recently sawn oak, loads of ripe fresh fruit.
Taste…Deliciously light with more vanilla, mild spices, apple bonbon sweets, grated milk chocolate over Chantilly cream, a beautiful smooth mouth feel, more oak shavings.
Finish…Medium to long finish, oak, vanilla and fruit remain in charge.
This very fine single-grain expression is now available in Asda supermarkets and priced at a ridiculously low price of only £20.00.
I would expect every lover of fine Whiskies to have this one in your cabinet and it is great to be part of an Old Fashioned cocktail or neat with just the slightest splash of water.
