The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Batch 4

Recently launched from this grand Speyside Distillery is The GlenAllachie 10 year old Batch 4.

Also launched was the Virgin Oak Series:-

12 Year Old Chinquapin Virgin Oak Finish
12 Year Old Spanish Virgin Oak Finish
12 Year Old French Virgin Oak Finish

All these four expressions were specially selected by Master Blender Billy Walker. All
are bottled unchillfiltered and with no added colouring.

Today I am going to concentrate and taste the 10 year old Batch 4. With a worldwide release of 2,600 cases. This expression is a cask strength release and was matured in a combination of Pedro Ximenez, Oloroso Puncheons and Virgin
Oak.

The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Batch 4 – Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 56.1% Alc/vol, 70 cl

Colour…Scorched mahogany.

Nose…Dark chocolate-coated almonds, fruit cake, sticky toffee pudding, vanilla.
Taste…Plump sherried sultanas, festive spices, chocolate covered treacle toffee, dried
oranges and pineapples with a dusting of cocoa powder, mandarin fondant, Russian
caramels, heather honey, a hugely entertaining taste.
Finish…Long and sweet, chocolate, oranges and vanilla are in charge.
