Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s First Virtual Tasting of 2021 – With The Whisky Boys
As many of our readers will know that both Nicola and I are Brand Ambassadors for The Scotch Malt Whisky Society and have been so for many a year. The Society has asked us both to be part of this year’s first virtual tasting.
Save the date – Thursday 25th February at 8 pm UK time.
Members can just sign in to the SMWS website and purchase a ticket for £30.00 which lets you join us with 5 different drams (these will be delivered to each member prior to the evening tasting) to taste in the evening and join us online at the SMWS UK Facebook page or on our SMWS Silverscreen YouTube link.
Non members or soon to become members can also view the tasting via Facebook and YouTube and listen to our enthusiasm and tasting notes of these grand drams.

The evening will be hosted by Madeline Schmoll from SMWS and together with Nicola and I will be guest taster, Global Brand Ambassador Jamie Morrison from The Glenturret.
I have listed below the 5 drams to be tasting on the night, they are :-
26.159 Chilled chilli coriander cocktail. A Highland Whisky from Sutherland.
112.76 Intriguing, enjoyable and conversational. A Highland Whisky from a distillery in the shadow of Ben Lomond
35.285 The viscometrist’s secret cream fridge. A grand Speyside Distillery which sits in the centre of a housing estate and is one of The Whisky Boys favourite.
88.23 Leap of the magic fruit salmon. A Speyside Distillery close to Rothes.
16.46 Texas BBQ brisket. A Highland Distillery and previously known as the Glenfinch Distillery.
