This award winning dram is the darkest and most intense of the extra-matured range. This Whisky has been in American oak casks maturing for 10 years before being transferred into ruby port pipes from Portugal.
Lets open this bottle and have a wee taste.
The tasting.
Colour…Highland Autumn Sunset.
Nose…Ripe pears, Peppermint chocolate creams, some woody spices like cloves and cinnamon, a little orange peel hint.
Taste…Oranges and lemons, a wee pepper nip, milk chocolate nut brittle, big, rich and very rounded.
Finish…Very drying, oakiness fills the palate finishing with some light marmalade, medium to long finish.
Score…4 Corks
This is a very fine and elegant Whisky and is an ideal after dinner dram, sip it slowly with just a teardrop of water.
