Lets go and have a wee tasting.
Colour…Pale golden amber
Nose…Burning dung! add water and the lovely spices appear sweet.
Taste…Soooooo smooth, well rounded peat and peppery spices and a salty dryness, surprisingly not too heavy.
Finish…Medium, light spice and salt.
Score…3.5 corks
Nose…Farmyard aromas but with more than a tang of peat, but y ou cannot miss the farmyard.
Taste…Way out there with peat and liquorice, and a slight malty nuttiness, slight fragrance ever so light and delightful.
Finish…Medium, hate the phrase but it is Lip Smacking with a little tingle.
Now this was an enjoyable wee dram with a lot going on in the glass. This bottle is not readily available in your supermarkets but it should be no problem if you go online and it is less than £25 a bottle.
This is one that Jim just might keep in his cabinet, if you enjoy peaty/smoky Whiskies, then this one is for you.
