This 40-year-old single grain whisky from Port Dundas distillery was made in 1978, and matured in a single refill hogshead until it was bottled in December 2018 for Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series. The nose offers, sweet, spiced aromas of spun sugar, cinnamon and oak spice, and the palate brings notes of sherbet lemons, vanilla and sweet cereal.
