A thick and chewy whisky from Mortlach, famed for its heavy, worm-tub-led style. It was distilled in 1989 and bottled 30 years later by Hunter Laing for the Old & Rare series. Matured in an oloroso cask, this has picked up the rich fruit and chocolate notes that you'd expect, but the rich Mortlach spirit has filled out the profile with leafy tobacco and a hint of ham.
