Whisky Barrels Direct – Falkirk

I came across this company when I  was searching for off cuts of staves to burn in my dining room open fire. This to keep the theme of Whisky within my dining room.

This relatively new company has countless barrels, ranging from small 20 litre barrels to 500 litre sherry barrels and port pipes.

Whisky Barrels Direct have a range of products that is outstanding including. Bar Stools, Bottle Racks, Chairs, Clocks, Glassware, Lighting, Mirrors, Steel Products, Tables, Garden Furniture Planters. 

They will also do one off custom made products to your own design to include laser engraving if required.

So one afternoon I popped in to pick 4 bags of off cuts and was greeted by Patrick Keir (Operations Manager) who also helped me to load the bags into my car.

On chatting we found out we had a mutual interest in Whisky, at which point he opened a cupboard and pulled out a very old bottling of Tamdhu. Patrick was aware that  I was driving and he poured some of the Tamdhu into a sample bottle for me to taste later. I did indeed later that day have a wee taste and it was delightful.
