Glen Grant – Distilled 1948, Bottled by Gordon & Macphail in 2014, A 66 Year Old Single Malt
This Single Malt from cask number 1369 was bottled at cask strength (46.6% Alc/vol) for the Polish based Wealth Solutions. A company that specializes in delivering unique spirits, collectibles and works of art to demanding connoisseurs and collectors.
Only 160 individually numbered decanters were released for sale.
Each decanter comes in is own special mahogany box together with a specially written book by Charles Maclean. This book gives detailed information on this select Whisky and the history of Gordon & Macphail.
The Whisky Boys were overjoyed to receive a sample of this Whisky and it is the oldest dram we have tasted. ( So far )

Colour…Antique gold
Nose…Dusty peach melba, an old sawmill yard, staves left out in the rain, soft orchard fruits, soft pine nuts.
Taste…Antique oak chest filled with ripe juicy peaches, apricots and nectarines, mouth coating sweetness and a delightful oaky spice.
Finish…Medium to long finish, the oak takes charge of the finish with a little citrus hit.
The Whisky Boys were honoured to receive a sample of the this rare dram. It was a delight to taste. We are so jealous of all that managed to obtain a decanter of this rare and excellent dram.
