The Good Spirits Co – 1st Birthday Tasting Evening

Last Friday night was the official 1st birthday tasting evening of the Good Spirits Co. in Glasgow.  It is hard to believe that it was just 1 year ago Jim and myself were at the Grand Opening.

In the 1st year the shop has gone from strength to strength with the variety of Whiskies, Rums, Champagne, Vodka and Gins growing by the month.  Mark, Shane and Matthew also host regular tasting events within the shops own spacious tasting room, there should be an event to suit most peoples palate.  The Good Spirit Co is definitely worth a drop in.

So back to the tasting… just after 7pm we entered the tasting room, took a seat and positioned in front of us were the 8 spirits ready for tasting, below are my notes.

A fabulous selection – personal favorite was the 11YO MacDuff, so of course I bought myself a bottle before leaving. (I got no23 – 23 is my lucky number and it is also the door number of the Good Spirits Co)

The night was rounded off with a few drams at the famous Pot Still Whisky Bar on Hope Street – Great night – well done guys, here’s to the next year.
