Chivas Regal Whisky – Price Comparison March 2011
The price comparison this month is for a 70cl bottle of Chivas Regal 12 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky 40% Alc/vol.
This time we decided to just go and visit all our major local supermarkets and see what the difference in prices would be.
Jim and Nicola both agreed we should check out this very iconic Whisky, the name, the label says it all, to be seen with a dram of Chivas Regal says in a word, success.
So lets go shopping and see how expensive this grand dram really can be.
We first visited Asda and found that this bottle was only £18.97, now for us that sounded really, really reasonable for such a fine dram.
Next was, Tesco and we were surprised to find the bottle they were selling was £23.69. big, big difference here.
Third in line was Morrison’s whose bottle of Chivas Regal was £22.49. Asda so far is looking good.
Last on our list was a visit to Sainsbury’s, and here we found it to be the dearest of the four with a cost of £23.98. over £5 of a difference wow!!!!
Now is that a surprise to you all a huge difference, but with Asda the clear winner, for only just under £19.00 you can have this very iconic and fabulous Premium Blended Whisky to sip and to offer you guests, and how lucky will they be to receive such a tipple.
Don’t let your cabinet be short of having a bottle of Chivas Regal in it, it is one to savour and enjoy. This fine dram can also be purchased online by clicking on the window below:
