The 2019 Limited Release Tobermory was distilled in 1999 and finished in Marsala wine casks, after a stint in refill ex-bourbon hogsheads. Sweet aromas of orange, tangerine, chocolate, fondant fancies and raspberry sauce fill the nose, followed by Battenberg cake, marzipan, gingernut biscuits and creamy coffee. The palate offers notes of cinnamon-spiced poached pears, stewed fruits, raisins, strawberry jam, raspberries, cocoa powder, cloves, honey-roast ham and earthy coffee grounds.
