A smoky addition to Bruichladdich's Cask Exploration series, Port Charlotte OLC:01 has been matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-Syrah and ex-Vin du Naturel casks before being transferred into a parcel of oloroso sherry hogsheads from Bodega Fernando de Castilla. Aromas of peat smoke, figs, toffee and peach mingle with honey, mulled wine, dark chocolate and seashells on the nose. The palate offers notes of peat smoke, sherry-soaked raisins, figs, orange, black pepper and walnuts.
