70cl / 54.5% / Distillery Bottling – A special-edition release of Lagavulin for the Islay Jazz Festival 2016, matured in refill American oak and first-fill ex-bourbon casks. The nose holds heady notes of vanilla, banana and gentle oak notes, followed by a gentle peat smoke and lemon zest. The palate opens with notes of oak and peat smoke, and is followed by a salty maritime element. The finish is long and lingering, with sweet notes of banana and plenty of peat smoke.
