70cl / 57.3% / Elixir Distillers – A nine-year-old Caol Ila single malt from the Whisky Show 2022 bottlings, this brilliantly intense whisky was distilled in 2013 and matured in a single hogshead. Aromas of sea spray, coal smoke, candied lemon peel and warm bread fill the nose, complemented by notes of wood smoke, dried berries, tobacco, bitter herbs, menthol, orange and smouldering coals throughout the palate.
