2020 | New Year with New Wishes for The Whisky Boys
As we enter 2020 it is now the time to have a wish list. Firstly I would like to turn to a few Scotch Whisky Distilleries that have managed to pass us by so far. We really have no excuse, we should have visited all those listed below in the time that the Whisky Boys has been going, but we seem to have overlooked a visit. So, hopefully, 2020 will be the year that we will sail or drive to each to catch a tour.
If you have been to any of these distilleries please be sure to let us know what to look out for and tell us what makes them a must on our 2020 to-do list.
Highland Park Distillery (Orkney)
Scapa Distillery (Orkney)
Old Pulteney Distillery (Wick)
Loch Lomond Distillery (Balloch)
Raasay Distillery (Isle of Raasay)
Also on my wish list is to re-visit some of my favourites which include.
Bladnoch, Talisker, Isle of Jura, Midleton, Strathisla, Glen Scotia, Oban, Knockdhu and Dalmunoch.
Bladnoch has a new visitor centre which is said to be quite exceptional.
Strathisla is maybe the prettiest distillery on Speyside.
It would also be grand to re-visit Knockdhu, as several years ago both Nicola and I spent three great days working at the Distillery.
Many distilleries including those above have many different looks and production layouts, so 2020 will be a great year for us to visit distilleries , old and new.
While I am on about travelling I would hope to get down to London and visit The Scotch Malt Whisky Society @ Greville Street. I have heard so much about this venue I will definitely try for a visit this year.
Nicola and I will continue to review Whiskies and tell tales about some of our private and corporate tastings.
