Glengoyne Teapot Dram Afternoon Tea

Glengoyne Teapot Dram Afternoon Tea at the Cannonball Restaurant and Bar

Nicola and I were both delighted to receive an invite from Jon Perkins of Taste Communications to attend the launch of the Teapot Dram with afternoon tea at the grand Cannonball Restaurant and Bar on Castlehill on the 18th of July.

This event was hosted by Glengoyne Brand Ambassador, Gordon Dallas. This was the first time the media got to try out the new Glengoyne Teapot Dram Afternoon Tea before it’s launch to the public as a special Edinburgh Fringe event in August.

The new Batch 6 Of the Teapot Dram is a delight full of dark fruits, spices like cloves and cinnamon with a long lingering finish of spiced oak.

So at the Fringe get up to the Cannonball and enjoy a fantastic dram and a superb tea which includes finger sandwiches, Scottish smoked salmon, freshly baked warm scones with cream and homemade jam and a selection of hand-made sweet treats and a pot of refreshing tea. All this for only £25.00 per person.

Nicola and I had a wee bonus that afternoon, in walked Charles MacLean who we have known for many a year. Over he came and sat beside us and we caught up with events, we chatted for many an hour about all things Whisky. This was the icing on the cake  for us on a grand afternoon.
