Arran Distillery has taken the name Sleeping Warrior from the mountain ridges on the north of the island and is said to look like a resting human figure.   Arran distillery are making donations to the National Trust for Scotland for every bottle sold, which will go to the maintenance of the Goatfell mountain footpaths.

This limited edition which has James MacTaggart’s own selection of European and American oak casks from their 2000 vintage.

Whilst Jim was over visiting the distillery he was allowed to have a wee taste of this special dram, Jim found it to be very complex robust Single Malt, rich and spicy. Jim bought a couple of bottles of Arran Malt’s which included a beautifully boxed bottle of the Sleeping Warrior ( for less than £60.00 ), look out for our full tasting which should be coming soon.

As this is a limited edition we suggest you get your skates on and get yourself one of these special drams, these are not available in your local supermarkets, but you should be able to get one or two from your specialist Whisky shop or using our on-line shopping window below, also get in touch with the Arran Distillery and buy direct from them.

Don’t forget to tell them that the Whisky Boys sent you..
