This dram is from a first-fill Bourbon cask, the tasting:
Nose…A gentle giant, very low key aroma’s, but there is some vanilla spice.
Taste…Creamy vanilla, custard creams, Ambrosia creamed rice with a twist of fresh pepper.
Finish…Long and peppery.
Nose…Not a lot on the nose, quite tame, but you do get vanilla and spicy citrus fruit.
Taste…Vanilla ice cream, toffee and Terry’s chocolate orange, at the edge is a little nuttiness.
Finish…Nice and long, sweet fruit and cream with a wee nippy bit at the end.
This fine dram which was bottled to celebrate the third birthday of caskstrength website.
