The fifth edition of The Boss Hog – The Spirit of Mauve – is a 13-year-old straight rye whiskey that has been finished in Calvados casks. The nose opens with gentle, warming mulled cider, with aromas of cinnamon, vanilla, candied ginger and a touch of tobacco. The palate brings flavours of maple syrup and pears, with a bitter, dark chocolate edge.
