Strathearn distillery was established in 2013 and is one of Scotland’s smallest producers. The distillery’s inaugural ongoing release sees its Highland single malt matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, ex-sherry casks and virgin oak for between five and eight years. The nose displays rich aromas of malted barley and gentle oak. The palate offers a syrupy texture and notes of honey, buttercream, baking spice and dried apricot, complemented by lingering buttery oat biscuits on the finish.
