Matured in a combination of ex-sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks, the 2019 release of Longrow 18 Year Old is a rich and smoky single malt with a peaty, fruity character. The nose is sweet and salty, with heather, smoked applewood and sweet tablet aromas, with and undercurrent of savoury sea-salt. The palate offers zesty lemon notes alongside coffee beans, clotted cream and cigar smoke, leading into a rich finish of black cherries, black pepper and rich wood-smoke.
