While many were preparing for their millennium celebrations, Ardbeg was renovating its distillery and laying the groundwork for a new era of production. Ardbeg Vintage Y2K is a series of limited-edition single malts distilled in the year 2000. The first of these landmark whiskies is Y2K 23, matured in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks for 23 years, this intensely sweet and sooty dram features notes of candied walnuts, lemon balm, linseed oil, and heather honey, all underpinned by rich peat smoke.
