70cl / 52.4% / Duncan Taylor – This stunning Port Ellen was filled into a refill sherry cask in 1983 where it would rest, undisturbed, for 40 years. The sought-after Islay single malt was then bottled by Duncan Taylor and comes inside a presentable carry case. There is a subtle but well-incorporated peat smoke, with aromas of worn leather, walnut and seashells all vying for attention, this leads to notes of dark fruit and soft baking spices on the palate.
