70cl / 46.7% / Gordon & MacPhail – Single malts from this distillery are increasingly rare. In Lochside’s heyday it produced single grain and single malt whiskies but eventually stopped production in 1992. This release spent 41 years in a refill sherry hogshead, which endowed the single malt with an intensely fruity but well-balanced character. You can expect notes of ripe mango, gingerbread spice and crème de peche, underpinned by toasted nuts.
