70cl / 54.9% / Signatory – A 1998 Laphroaig from the ninth release of La Maison du Whisky’s Artist series, matured in a single ex-bourbon barrel for two decades before being bottled in 2019. Heady aromas of hyacinth, ash, candied lemon, chocolate and acacia honey fill the nose, over hints of gooseberry and blackcurrant. The palate offers notes of black truffle, earthy peat, coal dust, sea salt, Havana cigars and grated ginger.
