As a long-time favourite of many Islay whisky fans, the Laphroaig distillery never seems to disappoint. The nose introduces aromas of lemon meringue pie along with vanilla ice cream and peat smoke – which develop into creamy, soft citrus on the palate. Leather, ash, and sandalwood soon join – leading to a long and complex smoky fruit finish.
