Wednesday night June 16th 2010 and it is only Jim and Dougie at the tasting table tonight, and as we both love Islay malts this is one that we were both eagerly looking forward to.
This is our second tasting of the evening. The three Whisky Boys together with our guest taster Lee are getting ready to open our second bottle of the evening.
Well, the three Whisky Boys got around Jim’s dining room table for the tasting of this Single Malt and they were joined by Lee Madigan our guest taster for tonight.
The BenRiach Distillery is located in the ‘Heart of Speyside’, between the village of Rothes and the town of Elgin. They Spey Valley, in which the BenRiach Distillery sits, is home to many of Scotland’s great Whiskies.
This is our first venture into a bottle of Tullibardine and Nicola had all the tasting glasses and water jug all prepared for our arrival.
