It is Thursday 22nd March 2012 and Whisky Boy Jim and his wife Jacqueline together with two family guests Philip and Lorraine Giles from Ireland are setting off for a well planned long weekend, which will include a trip to Talisker Distillery.
Talisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, at Carbost (the name comes in part from the Norse, Bost meaning ‘farm’) sitting on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins.
Now this is part two of a Whisky Selection, it is still the 4th of September 2010, this time it is the Whisky Gifts that Jim received for his 60th birthday.
Jim has to confess he was over the moon by the generosity of his guests and also the time and trouble they took to source some exceptional drams, thanks.
