A limited-edition release from Wemyss, Peppery Pear Pie was distilled by Glen Elgin in 1995 and bottled in 2017. This 22-year-old single malt was matured in a single cask, and offers aromas of fresh ginger, burnt sugar and rich brown bread. The palate opens with rich dates and bitter almonds, before developing fiery black pepper and grassy barley notes. The finish is light and fruity; apricots, plums and pears mingling with a gentle pepper spice.
