Early in 2021, the Alchemy Series was born, two Whiskies. Going by its name this is quite a smoky dram.
The Island Smoke Edition is a fabulous blend, if you like Islay Whiskies especially Ardbeg’s 5 Year Old Wee Beastie then you will love this blend.

Black Bottle Blended Scotch Whisky – Island Smoke, 46.3% Alc/vol 70 cl
Colour…Buttered popcorn
Nose…An enticing combination of sweet peat smoke, a light medicinal note, and a whiff of seaside air.
Taste…Balanced peat, sweet and smooth, vanilla, scorched stave, damp wood on a bonfire, sea saltiness, caramel.
Finish…Long and delightful, sweet peat is in charge but along comes some peppery spice leaving a little heat.
Loved this one. I am going to ensure that my cabinet has both Alchemy Bottlings in it at all times. Priced at £25.00 you just cannot go wrong.
A wee note on the Double Cask, it has malts finished in sherry casks together with grain Whisky aged in red wine casks ensuring a heavy red wine nose and palate.
