Glen Moray – Cider Cask Project

Another addition to the fabulous range by Glen Moray’s Graham Coull (Master Distiller).

This is the first release from the new Glen Moray Curiosity Range, an industry first and only available in the UK. This also shows off Graham’s passion for experimentation.

It all started when Graham loaned Thirsty Cross Cider several Single Malt ex Bourbon casks which allowed Thirsty Cross to create their Whisky Cask Cider. When the casks where returned to the distillery they were used to finish this new Glen Moray Cider Cask Project Whisky.

Let’s open the bottle and have a wee taste.

Glen Moray – Cider Cask Project, Small Batch, Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 46.3% Alc/vol 70 cl.

Colour…Rich golden amber

Nose… A summery freshness, figs and caramalized apples.

Taste… Fresh ripe fruits, this has all the ingredients of a special Cranachan, a delight to savour, with only a tear drop of water it opens up soft runny vanilla toffee, custard creams, now sitting in an ice-cream parlour dipping marshmallows and pieces of meringue in my vanilla sundae.

Finish… Lingers quite long, soft fruits, vanilla and apple are the most dominant flavours an absolute delight.

Well, Graham if this is your first from your Curiosity Range here at Whisky Boys we are now awaiting to see what other wonderful creations are on there way.

This is a delightful dram and worth every penny of it’s £52.95 price. As this is a small batch release the number of bottles for sale is only 2000. To all our readers this is a must to have and taste be quick this one wont last long.

Big thanks to Graham and all at Glen Moray, you now have another triumph on your hands.
