Whisky Dates for 2010

Whisky Dates for 2010

Here a couple of dates for all Whisky lovers diaries.

Auchentoshan Distillery Whisky Festival will be held on Saturday 28th August 2010 from 11 am until 5 pm.

If you check out our article relating to the 2009 Auchentoshan Distillery Whisky Festival this will give you the reason why all three Whisky Boy’s and their partners will be attending this grand day.

As we have said this festival is etched in stone in all our diaries.

So if you manage to get there and you see the Whisky Boys (we will all have our polo shirts on) please do come up and say hello.

The next must go to outing will be to Whisky Live in Glasgow 2010whisky-live-2010

This event will be held on Saturday 11th September 2010.

As you are probably aware the Whisky Boys will be attending the Thistle Ballroom in Glasgow.

This is an event that truly caters for the novice Whisky palate and the more experience Whisky drinker and provides an opportunity for tasting and sampling with well informed exhibitors.

It is an ideal opportunity to sample some of the finest Whisky’s on offer.

We understand there will be a Whisky antiques roadshow, masterclass rooms, a Whisky VIP room, and a collectors corner – so lots and lots going on.

We canny wait – get your diaries out, and remember if you see the Whisky Boys do come up and say hello, Dougie might even let you sip whatever special dram that will be in his hip flask.

For those who may be travelling by air to Scotland – we hope the volcanic ash has blown away by then.

Jim’s birthday present event

It is Jim’s birthday early in September, but as he is having a big party at home his wife Jacqueline has asked Jim if he would like to spend 3 or 4 days up in Speyside (at the end of August) and visit 5 or 6 Distilleries and enjoy the food and people of the area.

As you would guess Jim said yes, yes, yes and yes again.

But even better Jacqueline said Jim could pick the distilleries to visit and she would fund the whole trip. (a great wife that Jacqueline is)

Now this will give Jim a fantastic collection of Distillery visits, tastings and stories to write about on the Whisky Boys website.

The difficult part is what Distilleries to visit and drams to taste, but no doubt Jim will enjoy searching out the best Distilleries, accommodation and restaurants we shall visit.

Look out Speyside one of the Whisky Boy’s is on his way soon.

As Jim will always be sporting his Whisky Boy polo shirt, please come up and say hello.
