The final release in Douglas Laing's Big Peat Vintage Trilogy, the Black Edition is a 27-year-old Islay blended malt whisky distilled in 1992. Smoky, salty aromas of bonfires on the beach fill the nose, alongside cookie dough, new leather and floral barley. The palate offers notes of candied citrus, heather honey, oak spice and hints of bacon, before ash, mint and ginger appear in the finish.
