Co-Founder, Whisky Boys
Whisky Boys began one evening at my dad Jim’s house, during a conversation about whisky and the simple idea that knowledge is better shared. We called it the www. Not the World Wide Web, but World Wide Whisky. From there, Whisky Boys took shape.
What started as support quickly became personal. Somewhere along the way, I realised I’d developed my own taste for Scotland’s water of life. From drinker to learner, to ambassador, it’s been a natural progression rather than a sudden leap.
Professionally, I work in digital strategy. After more than a decade shaping online strategy within a leading financial services company, I founded my own digital marketing agency, SEOcials Ltd, in 2008. I still lead the agency today, working across brand, content and growth with a strong focus on clarity and long-term value.
Alongside this, I host golf travel experiences around the world, guiding groups through some of the game’s most respected and memorable courses. I bring a practical, Scottish perspective to the experience, grounded in where the game began and why it still matters.
In whisky, I am a Whisky Ambassador for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and work as a presenter, reviewer and judge. My approach combines experience with context. In 2022, I completed a First Class Honours MA in Scottish History and Film & TV Studies at the University of Glasgow, strengthening my understanding of how whisky, sport and culture connect within Scotland’s wider story.
Having built a career in digital leadership, developed authority in whisky, hosted international golf experiences and formally studied Scotland’s history, I bring a considered, credible and engaging perspective to every collaboration.
