It was around 4 pm on this very cold and wintery evening that Jim and Nicola caught the train from Croy bound for Edinburgh Waverly to visit the SMWS luxurious premises at 28 Queen Street in the centre of our capital for a evening of tasting some of the best Single Cask, Single Malts in the world.
It is Sunday the 7th of November 2010 and Jim has decided to refill his Caol Ila Decanter, as it has been lying empty for too long. So a good look through his cabinet and he soon located a bottle of Caol Ila.
Talisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, at Carbost (the name comes in part from the Norse, Bost meaning ‘farm’) sitting on the shores of Loch Harport with dramatic views of the Cuillins.
