70cl / 55.3% / Elixir Distillers – A 1996 Ben Nevis single malt, matured in a single ex-sherry butt for more than two decades, before being bottled by Elixir Distillers in July 2019, as part of its Single Malts of Scotland range. Sweet aromas of runny honey, vanilla-scented candles, over-ripe mango and cantaloupe melon fill the nose, and the palate offers luscious notes of chargrilled pineapple, lemon oil, dates, cranberries and apricots, with lashings of cinnamon and mint.
