This is the the inaugural Glasgow Whisky Festival and Jim and Nicola where very happy to attend.
It was around 4 pm on this very cold and wintery evening that Jim and Nicola caught the train from Croy bound for Edinburgh Waverly to visit the SMWS luxurious premises at 28 Queen Street in the centre of our capital for a evening of tasting some of the best Single Cask, Single Malts in the world.
Jim and Nicola headed off at around 11 am for the train into Glasgow for our third visit to Whisky Live and we thank Pippa Tomson of Paragraph Publishing for her kind invite.
Islay certainly did well at the recent Whisky Fringe held in Edinburgh.
This is the first Whisky auction that Jim or Nicola have ever attended, albeit we have visited other general auctions. It is also the first time either of us have visited McTear’s Auction Rooms.
This coming Friday (January 15th 2010) Two of the Whisky Boys, Jim and Nicola are going to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall where in the Buchanan Suite they will be partaking in the blending of the Whisky Boys version of the wonderful Black Bottle Whisky.
