This Macallan 40 Year Old was bottled from a single refill hogshead in June 2017. As the producer notes, it is "Fresh and sweetly spiced on the nose, with candied ginger and polished oak. The palate is smooth with a candied lemon zest character and ripe banana, with a medium-long finish that shows lingering citrus fruit and honey." Part of Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series.
